“Peninsula Observatory News, August 22nd: NASA’s latest observation report indicates that a peculiar-shaped meteorite, after a flight of 2912 years, will overlap Earth’s orbit today. Because its geological composition cannot be determined, it is estimated that if this meteorite, designated Rope 1, fails to burn up in the atmosphere, it will eventually fall near the Sea of Japan. The resulting tsunami could sink the Japanese archipelago, but due to its unique surface shape and unknown composition, the possibility of other types of disasters cannot be ruled out.”
