“The company’s top sales champion, suffered from depression and was unable to work due to her husband’s fraudulent activities and subsequent absconding. Her boss devised a stress-relieving method: hanging her up. He said if she could hold this position for an hour, she would be rewarded with an excellent husband. An hour was no easy feat. A rope was tightly bound behind her neck, and a rope was placed around her hips, forcing her to stand on tiptoe for extended periods. The constant tiptoeing was uncomfortable, and when her heels dipped down, her neck became constricted, and the rope around her hips caused further discomfort. Unable to endure the prolonged torture, she eventually fainted.”
