“This is a drama film specially prepared for the Mid-Autumn Festival, taking nearly a week to produce. Drama lovers should definitely not miss it. Those familiar with my style know that the first episode of each of my high-quality drama series is meticulously crafted, and this episode is no exception. I shot hundreds of storyboards and had countless takes during filming to achieve the desired effect. The final cut is very fast-paced, with almost no establishing shots. I cut over two hours of original footage down to just over 50 minutes, removing all unnecessary scenes. Except for the last 10 minutes of background content, there’s constant dialogue and interaction (including during the torture scene), with seven or eight monologues. I created nearly 600 subtitles during editing, and proofreading them took almost a whole day. However, I’m very satisfied with the result; it’s a large-scale production. The torture scenes are quite interesting, constantly intertwined with the plot, with various challenges and taunts—a retaliatory torture rather than a brutal beating. See the synopsis below for details. As before, to avoid spoilers, I won’t be posting the original script; instead, I’ve written a separate summary. Synopsis of this episode: Liu Yuqi was once a popular model, but after marrying her husband three years ago, she quit her modeling job at his request to stay home and manage the household. Yuqi’s husband runs a small company, but recently encountered some difficulties and has been losing money for the past six months, depleting their savings. Today, Yuqi told her husband she wanted to go back to modeling to earn some extra money, but he comforted her, saying he would find a way to make ends meet. However, Yuqi now has no living expenses, and if she runs out of money, she won’t even have enough for groceries tomorrow. To avoid adding pressure to her husband, Yuqi secretly contacted her former agent and arranged to meet the next day. The next day, walking down the street, Yuqi couldn’t help but think about that agent. She didn’t like him; his surname was Wang, and although he was capable, his reputation was poor. However, at the time, Yuqi was at the height of her career and needed a capable agent like him, so she didn’t pay much attention. Thinking it over, Yuqi walked to the building where her agent’s studio was located, but hesitated, memories of the past slowly resurfacing. Three years ago, during her last photoshoot, Agent Wang, while adjusting Yuqi’s clothes, whether intentionally or accidentally, touched her buttocks. At the time, Yuqi was at the height of her popularity, both arrogant and spoiled. She immediately slapped her agent and flew into a rage. At that time, Yuqi’s husband opposed her being a model, so Yuqi later used the excuse of the agent’s indecent assault to tell the company boss that she was quitting. Later, Yuqi’s agent was severely punished by the company because of her resignation, and many people in the company had a lot of complaints about him, ultimately leading to his resignation. It was for this reason that Yuqi was now very hesitant and nervous at the door, unsure how to face this person. However, today Yuqi had no choice but to ask him for help. Finally, Yuqi could only muster her courage and step through the dark door. Upon meeting, Manager Wang was indeed cold, making Yuqi wait while he calmly fiddled with his camera. Yuqi was then subjected to a barrage of sarcastic remarks. However, needing his help, Yuqi had no choice but to comply, and finally secured an audition opportunity. After changing, she was scolded again for not bringing breast pads and coming out with a bra under her dress. Yuqi reluctantly offered to take off her bra in the dressing room, but Manager Wang complained it was taking too much time and told her to remove it on the spot. Moreover, the dress Manager Wang had chosen was the one Yuqi wore during her last shoot, and things were different now. Manager Wang used the pretext of checking her figure to take advantage of her in various ways, and Yuqi could only awkwardly dodge, not daring to resist. Finally, after enduring the ordeal of Manager Wang’s body check, Yuqi was told that they no longer needed regular print models; the only vacancies were in the BDSM (Boys’ Love) industry. Yuqi immediately refused, but thinking that if she didn’t earn money today, she wouldn’t even have enough to buy groceries for her husband that night, she decided to give it a try, hoping Manager Wang would give her some payment for a trial shoot. Manager Wang vaguely agreed, but only on the condition that she pass the audition and sign a long-term contract before receiving payment. Yuqi was then tied up, her entire upper body and thighs tightly bound, her legs also tightly bound with rope. Even worse, her upper body was connected to her knees by a rope, forcing her to stand bent over. Then, Manager Wang demanded that Yuqi demonstrate a model’s walk in these conditions; if she couldn’t walk well, she would be considered unqualified. Yuqi had no choice but to walk with difficulty. But in this state, she couldn’t walk well at all, and was constantly mocked by Manager Wang. After walking for a while, Yuqi couldn’t bear the tightness of the ropes anymore, her legs gave way, and she fell to the ground. Wearing high heels and bound so tightly, Yuqi couldn’t get up on her own. She tried to get her manager, Wang, to help her, but he ignored her and instead brought out a whip, saying it was a tool from the manufacturer for him to test, and that if Yuqi couldn’t get up, he would keep hitting her. Yuqi had no choice but to endure the whipping while repeatedly trying to get up. Each attempt was excruciatingly painful due to the tightness of the ropes, but she could only keep trying. Finally, she managed to stand up. After Yuqi stood up, Wang even claimed it was thanks to the whip, saying that she was only able to stand because of the whipping. Afterwards, Wang continued to whip Yuqi while forcing her to keep walking. After a while, Manager Wang was finally satisfied and brought out the contract for Yuqi to see, but he wouldn’t untie her, saying there would be other auditions later, so Yuqi had to read it tied up like that. He even deliberately placed the contract on a very low coffee table, forcing Yuqi to bend over to read it. Yuqi wanted to ask about some of the contract’s clauses in detail, such as why she needed to undergo training, but Manager Wang complained that she had too many faults, saying that other models didn’t have so many questions. In the end, Yuqi pressed her fingerprint on the contract, still tied up. However, the audition wasn’t over yet. Manager Wang then used a nose ring to clamp Yuqi’s nose and led her around by the nose. Yuqi knew that Manager Wang was deliberately making things difficult for her, and she was furious inside, but she didn’t dare to show it. Afterwards, Manager Wang pulled Yuqi to the center of the studio and then, incredibly, attached the rope with the nose ring to a hanging ring in the middle of the studio. Surrounded by the camera lights, Yuqi could only stand under the ring with her head tilted back. Then, under the pretext of testing props from the manufacturer, Manager Wang brought out a silicone prop and repeatedly inserted it into Yuqi’s mouth, even pressing the entire prop into her mouth several times and using his hand to prevent her from spitting it out. Afterwards, Manager Wang made Yuqi hold the prop in her mouth to prevent it from falling out. Then, he brought out a TD (prosthetic device), again claiming it was a test prop, and installed it on Yuqi, telling her to keep it in that position, saying that such props needed time to be tested. Afterwards, Yuqi was left in this uncomfortable position in the center of the studio, surrounded by cameras and camera lights. (I don’t want to type out the details, so I’ll just copy a passage from Yuqi’s inner monologue: “This Manager Wang is just as rumored, all he thinks about is how to take advantage of girls. And now, he’s not just taking advantage of me. He’s tied me up like this and using all these random props on me. I don’t know what’s pulling on my nose, but I can’t move. Yuqi, who had been enduring the pain, quickly asked if it was over and if she had passed. Manager Wang said she barely passed. Yuqi immediately asked if she could get her payment for today’s test shoot, but Manager Wang said it was just an interview. Passing the interview only meant she had the basic qualifications for filming; there was no such thing as paying for an interview. If she wanted payment, she would have to film another test shoot that could be released. Manager Wang nonchalantly told Yuqi to quickly decide whether she wanted to film another test shoot, saying he didn’t have time. Yuqi was furious, her face flushed, but she had no choice but to agree, feeling both angry and aggrieved. Then, Manager Wang said he had to go prepare for the shoot and left. Yuqi was still tied up, suspended there by a nose ring. Yuqi called for Manager Wang to untie her, but he was already gone. Furious and aggrieved, Yuqi wanted to cry, but she held back her tears. She could only helplessly wait for the next part of the shoot.”
