“The “spread-eagle” position in [The Sheep of Grey Wolf] severely tested Wanwan’s endurance. A suitable spot was chosen, metal rings were fixed to the board, and her feet were secured with cable ties. Her hands were then pulled up behind her back for 15 minutes. The board was extremely slippery, and the cable ties restricted her leg movement; Wanwan could only place her big toes on either side of her legs.
